Our Favorites for Game Night
With a brutal winter about to be behind us (hopefully), we have spent many weekends at home with friends and our favorite games! As you may have read before, we are huge fans of Cards Against Humanity. Yes, we have the Bigger Blacker Box, and it’s full) But a few weeks ago, a friends introduced us to The Game of Things, and we were hooked immediately. See below our guide to Game Night.
1. Good Drinks
It is not a party with out a good drink, so for game night we set up a bar cart so our guests could easily help themselves. See our picks for styling the perfect bar cart for your party, here! Stock up on beer, wine and your favorite spirits. Many of the games require open ended answers so it is best to make sure everyone has a cocktail to get the games going!
2. Good Games
We are currently obsessed with Game of Things and Cards Against Humanity. Both are great games to get the party going and get everyone laughing. They are our go-to-games when having new friends over. Game of Things is currently a new favorite as it is required to fill in your own answers, no matter how ridiculous or how crude. The best part is that there is never any repeats! So the game is different every time. These will never fail when hosting game night!
3. Good Food
And finally, the most important part of our get togethers is the food! We think food brings people together and gives life to the party. For game night is best to stick to a few classic dishes, bruschetta, caprese skewers and a few chips and dips.
These are our tips to hosting the perfect game night, all you need is good drinks, good games and good food, and the rest is for the memory books.
Let the games begin!
