The Salty Dog

Brunch cocktails go beyond mimosas and bloody marys. And while, yes we do enjoy the beloved Bloody Mary, it often times is a bit too heavy in the morning. So this weekend we’re making The Salty Dog!

TheSistersSoireeThis cocktail is most commonly made with gin, but since we are vodka drinkers, we swapped the booze. But we recommend you try both!

The Salty Dog Recipe

  • 2 oz. Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
  • 2 oz. Vodka
  • Salt
  • Grapefruit Wedge
  • Pretzel Stirrer

In a rocks glass filled with ice and a sea salt rimmer, combine juice and vodka, garnish with grapefruit wedge and stir together with pretzel stick. Enjoy!

Often called a Greyhound, this cocktail is super easy to make and made with ingredients you normally have on hand. We chose Ruby Red Grapefruit juice for the perfect pink color. A light brunch cocktail to be enjoyed all summer long and a nice change from your normal weekend Bloody’s.
