Summer Sips: Grapefruit Mint Spritzer

August 21, 2014 by Amanda Willis

It is a bittersweet time of year when August is winding down with cooler nights and the sun setting earlier, Fall is around the corner! But the pool is still open, the high’s each day are 80, so we are going to enjoy it while it lasts! To soak up all of summer’s beauty, we created a cocktail perfect for evenings on the patio, enjoy!

TheSistersSoireeIt is no secret we indulge in a weeknight cocktail, we love the idea of having a Happy Hour right at home! This week we took some mint out of the garden, fresh grapefruit juice and our favorite spirit, vodka! The result? A light and refreshing cocktail to get you through these dog days of summer!

Grapefruit Mint Spritzer

  • 2 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz seltzer
  • 5-6 mint leaves
  • rocks glass filled with ice
  • seasonal fruit to garnish

TheSistersSoireeIn a rocks glass, tear mint leaves, add vodka, pour grapefruit and top with seltzer, ta da!  A super simple, super refreshing cocktail to toast to the end of the work day! The color is gorgeous especially when paired with a bright green kiwi. Don’t jive with vodka? This can be made with the liquor of your choice!
