Spicy Oven Roasted Garbanzo Beans
We are truly trying to make 2014 our best year yet! So up first, we need to work on our health. Cue eye roll, yes we know, the New Year’s resolution that never gets kept, but what if we go at it from a different angle? Not restrict ourselves from delicious foods and drinks, but be better informed on what we are putting into our bodies. Now that is something we can stick to!

First up is super easy, cheap and healthy snack! Spicy roasted chickpeas that will sure curb your three o’ clock hunger.
All this recipe calls for is two cans of garbanzo beans, oil and a few ingredients from your spice cabinet.
Wash two cans of chickpeas thoroughly. Toss rinsed beans in a medium bowl with two tablespoons of olive oil, half teaspoon cayenne pepper, half teaspoon cumin and half a teaspoon chili powder. Heat the oven to 400 degrees, spead the beans out on a tray and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, until crispy.
The end result is a delicious, filling and healthy snack to serve as a party app or even grab on the go!
