A go-to appetizer for our parties usually involves Bruschetta! It’s so simple to put together, the presentation is always impressive, and it instantly satisfies hungry guests before the main meal. Not to mention, it’s extremely budget-friendly, which a must for us two! …

STEP 1: We chose to go with a fresh loaf of Italian Bread from our local grocery store. We typically purchase sesame seed bread, because it helps keep the bread together. We slice the bread into thin baguettes and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper:

STEP 2: Bake the sliced baguettes for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees (or until crispy and light golden in color). Allow them too cool before topping. To prevent them from becoming soggy before everyone gets a taste, we place a layer of cream cheese on top of the baguette. Since we didn’t have time to make our own bruschetta, we picked up a pre-made recipe from a brand called Hannah Foods┬áthat’s at Costco and is DELICIOUS! If you want to make your own, try this recipe we found on Simply Recipes that makes the bruschetta topping really easy! (Click here: Bruschetta)
