Cork Crafting Time!

Corks collecting dust?

What to do with all those corks?

Let’s just say we have a lot of corks laying around from all the soirees we host and we bet you do too! We found three simple ways to turn these once bottle stoppers into a soiree must have. All you need is your corks, hot glue gun and 10 minutes of your time, check it out!

Cork Coasters

What better to rest your wine glass on than a homemade cork coaster? Take about eight of the corks and glue them together to make a square. I really like the look of the faded pinks on the edge from the red wines!

Cork Trivet

Same idea as the coasters but on a larger scale! I glued about 32 corks together, just big enough to hold a small soup pan or a tea pot. As handles I used champagne corks, they expand just wide enough to glue on the edges and will be perfect to grab on to!

Cork Votive

Rather than using glass candle holders to set the mood, try this super simple way to create your own votive. Take a tea light candle, and glue corks standing up around the edge. Because the corks are all shapes and sizes makes the candle holder unique, also, the way the light reflects off the cork makes a romantic setting!

How do you reuse corks? Let us know!
