Cinco De Mayo Table Setting

May 1, 2014 by Amanda Willis

As the weekend approaches, we are preparing for our Cinco De Mayo Soiree. This is one of our favorites to prep and plan for! For a fiesta-inspired tabletop it is all about the color, and the more the better. Deep oranges, reds, greens and yellows. And since this soiree takes place in the beginning of May, get outside! Hopefully the weather is cooperating with you this weekend, and it finally warms up here in NJ! Get fiesta inspired with our Cinco De Mayo tabletop!

We throw Mexican-inspired soirees very often, so when we came across pepper-shaped plates, serving dishes and bowl, we could not pass it up! Believe it or not, this set gets used a lot! As we are always on a budget, we carefully plan each table top and certainly cannot afford a new set of dishes for each event. It is important to buy your basics and change up the look with placemats, table cloths, napkins and so on. This will save you money in the long run (and space in your cabinets!) But if you tend to be gravitating towards a specific set of dishes, like we do with these, there is no problem with hanging on to a festive, decorative set to whip out during special occasions.

From traveling over the years, we have accumulated a large collection of knick-knacks. So for our fiesta soiree, we took to our Arizona souvenirs and placed them through out the table, the desert skeleton, vase and stone dish were the perfect addition to our theme!

Happy Cinco de Mayo all! May your margarita never be less than half full.
