September 8, 2014 by Amanda Willis

TheSistersSoiree.comWe are serving up another Earth Day cocktail from one of our favorite spirits, Casa Noble Tequila! Today we bring you to the dark side of tequila..Añejo! The dark, robust, rich tequila that is amber in color. With such a flavorful drink, we did not want to mask the taste behind juices and mixers, so there is no better way to enjoy this tequila than to be sipping this Casa Noble Anjeo Old Fashioned!

Casa Noble Añejo Old Fashioned

  • 3 oz. Casa Noble Añejo Tequila
  • 1 dash of bitters
  • Drop of Agave Nectar
  • Orange Peel
  • Cherry to Garnish (optional)

In a rocks or old fashioned glass, muddle agave, bitters and orange peel together. Add ice and tequila, gently stir and add cherry garnish.

Or, if using a frozen ice glass like we did, muddle ingredients in shaker and add to frozen glass, top off with tequila and enjoy! No ice needed here!

Casa Noble Añejo Tequila is a robust and complex tequila with aromas of dried fruits, spice and toasted oak, accompanied by butterscotch flavors, then  aged in French White Oak Barrels for two years.

Añejo is definitely the tequila to sip by itself. To the nose, it has orange and lime notes with cooke agave. And to taste, it has a citrus marmalade flavor complemented by a powerful and intense blend of butterscotch, graham cracker and cocoa. On the finish, espresso and campfire notes come up, as well as a salty sea breeze for a sweet oak finish.

Casa Noble Añejo Tequila – 40% Alcohol by Volume – $59.95 for 750 mL.
