DSC_0113 DSC_0119 DSC_0115 DSC_0117 DSC_0120 DSC_0118I love a classic margarita, but you can’t go wrong with this bright citrus of blood orange. It’s sweet, tangy and goes great with tequila! This twist will make you feel like it’s summer, enjoy!

Blood Orange Margarita Recipe

serves two

  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz triple sec
  • fresh squeezed juice from two blood oranges
  • fresh squeezed juice from one lime
  • 1 tsp of sugar or sweetener
  • salt for rimming the edges
  • wedges of blood orange and lime to garnish

Dip edge of glasses in water and into salt to create the rim and fill with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, blood orange juice, lime juice and sugar. Shake with ice and pour into prepared glasses. Garnish with fruit wedges and enjoy! Looking for a spicy drink? Try adding a few slices of jalapeños to the shaker for a spicy twist!

Cheers!
